The Copper Turtle was founded in 2022 by husband & wife Benjamin & Amanda Rossi. The couple found a home away from home in their shared love for the city of Milwaukee & decided to bring their passions to their favorite city. Ben has worked his entire career in the bar & beer industry, while Amanda owns & operates an interior design company. Ben's love for brewing beer & Beverage Director Patrick's passion for designing craft cocktails, along with Amanda's impeccable eye for creating awe inspiring interiors, all come together to create this cozy, inviting, one of a kind space. The name Copper Turtle is derived from the massive copper serving tanks housing the fresh beers brewed on site, as well as the couple's oldest daughter having a deep rooted love of sea turtles. The Copper Turtle is not only committed to providing customers with an elevated drinking atmosphere & experience, it goes the extra lengths to operate in a very Green fashion. From eliminating plastic waste, to instilling strict recycling practices, The Copper Turtle also donates a portion of proceeds to sea turtle conservation organizations. Stumbled into copper turtle on their first day open and it was wonderful. Great aesthetic and better beer. The amber was my favorite. We will definitely back. Our bartender was also very knowledgeable and funny. 10/10 recommend!
